LINUX

According to the market research hardly 1% of computes in the world are running on Linux.

window use the micro kernel which takes less space but lower the system running effectively

for those who don't know about the kernel

basically kernel is a computer program and you can consider as a  heart and  you can say it a core of any computer (operating system), it help to interact the hardware to software, the basic work of the kernel is to communicate with the hardware such as RAM, ROM, HARDDISK, CPU, GPU, MEMORY and recognize the component

LINUX

Linux uses the monolithic kernel which consume more running space.

Monolithic kernel  is an operating system architecture, where the entire operating system (OS)is working in the kernel space, it also define a high level virtual interface over the hardware and rather than this in windows.

WINDOW

As i told you window is an extensively used OS. so, the hackers and spammers target the windows operating system more frequently and efficiently rather than the Linux, and simple reason  is that because windows have more market place, but don't be panic because windows have their own  strong firewall and defenders which give high level security to  windows OS from the unknow or risky applications and malwares.

LINUX

Linux is based as a multi-user architecture, making it way more stable than the single-user OS like window.

Single-user operating system

An operating system that allow a single user to perform only single task at certain period of time is called single-user or single-tasking operating system

Multiple-user operating system

Multiple user operating system is a computer operating system which allow multiple user to access the single system with one operating system on it.
